Abstract:
The article offers an initial reflection on what microhistory as a critical lens, in Carlo Ginzburg’s acceptation and practice, to the extent that it proposes the study of unique events as being central to the understanding of culture and ideas at given times, can do for a history of the book that keeps the reader in the picture.
