Abstract:
Since the resuming of the archaeological investigations at the
city port of al-Balīd, Sultanate of Oman, in 2016, a number
of new research projects have been developed, under the
aegis of the Office of the Adviser to HM the Sultan for
Cultural Affairs, now Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and
other foreign institutions. Particularly significant has been
the study of the pottery assemblage from East Asia carried
out in collaboration with the University of Naples
“L’Orientale”.
