“L’uomo afroamericano negli anni Sessanta: Amiri Baraka e Dutchman,”

Articolo
Data di Pubblicazione:
2010
Abstract:
Through his reading of this influential 1964 play, Bavaro highlights a few themes crucial to a critical understanding of African American masculinity. While his focus is on the 1960s and the dominant discourses of the time on the “black male,” by investigating male identity and the relation between race and gender, Bavaro sheds lights on some aspects of the cultural history of the United States and on their present.
