Abstract:
There is a lot of invisible power play around children's literature. Translators, too, have ended up making choices on the terms of , domestication, foreignization or the prevailing ideology, which are not always faithful to the original work. The different illustrations and translations of children's books at different times always open different windows and influence the way we understand the texts. At the same time, they also tell us how texts are shaped to fit the values of a particular society.
