THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF THE STEPPES: METHODS AND WORK STRATEGIES, NAPLES, 9-12 NOVEMBER 1992. Series Minor, XLIV, Dipartimento di Studi Asiatici

Data di Pubblicazione:

Abstract:
The volume edited by Bruno Genito was published in the occasion of an International Symposium on the Archaeology of the steppes, Works, Methods and Strategies. The idea of the symposium originated from the Italian archaeological activity in Hungary, a small and westernmost part of the Great Eurasian Steppes. At that time Hungary represented the westernmost outpost of the Soviet block and for that the activity represented a very pioneer work, dealing with a topic never frequented by the Italian archaeologists. Besides some contributions related to the Italian activity in Hungary, many are the other contributions of soviet/Russian scholars, American and also Chinese.
